SUNSHINE Coast Council recently put up a plaque displaying a poem written by local resident and Coast Care volunteer Linese Norrish. The plaque recounts a poem written by Linese in 2005 following the removal of a beautiful tree in the Mt Coolum area and the plaque is now displayed on a tree stump at Third Bay. “The tree was removed for ‘development’ purposes of course,” Linese said. “It has taken 17 years for the plaque to be made and installed… recognition at last!”
